Favre Embarrassing Himself -- June 11, 2009
I'm really considering burning all my Favre jerseys, and I have a bonfire pit to do it. He has sunk so low, and dragged this fiasco between the Packers and him on for so long, that I now firmly believe he is one of the most selfish, egotistical sports figures out there. He obviously is not spending enough time with his family lateley, to be flirting with the Vikings at every given moment. I used to love to watch him play, and cheered like hell when he broke just about very quarterback record out there. But Aaron Rodgers is a much better role model for kids. He's a team player, and is humble. Favre has shamed himself with his comments about Ted Thompson. He should understand, more than anybody, football is a business and your time could be up when your play starts to decline. His play was declining. His record in the postseason made him look like a fool for all the idiotic interceptions he threw. I wonder if things would've been different if Holngren would've stayed around to keep him in line. Favre being bitter is ridiculuous, considering he's the one who started yanking the Packers chain with the "I don't know if I want to come back and play next year" routine half a dozen years ago. Give me a break. I now turn off the TV every time I see his name mentioned. I think NFL sportscasters need to give his name a rest, too. They're just feeding his ego, too.
