Yes, the time has come for us to finally start climbing out of the dark hole the previous administration has put us in. We need to start coming together again as a country, and to start contributing to resolving the world global warming crisis. We need to work faster on that problem, or there's going to be a lot of flooded coastal areas, and people forced from their homes, which will create a ripple effect for the rest of us. The auto industry needs to move fast to make changes with their bailout money. I will never buy domestic again until they start becoming part of the solution and making their vehicles more fuel efficient, and affordable. New technology is expensive, which is why consumers aren't so quick to get on the bandwagon. And with the nation now in debt, it makes it harder than ever to switch off oil. There has to be cheap solutions to get things going in the right direction NOW! I completely agree with creating jobs now, too, to repair the failing roads and bridges across the nation. Obama is facing some huge challenges, so don't expect everything to be resolved in one presidential term. It could take decades to reverse or eliminate the problems the U.S. is facing right now. The only thing is, we may no longer have enough time. We may have turned a blind eye too long, and that's the saddest part of all.
