To my great delight, I have learned we have morel mushrooms on our property, which makes sense since they like to grow in woodland settings. I picked ten large ones this morning. They are great for cooking with, and these aren't the poisonous kind. The good kind has hollow stems, which these do. These mushrooms are exactly what I based the poisonous mushrooms off of in my first book in The Snowtear Wars, The Chimes of Yawrana, in relation to King Doran Yorokoh's demise. Inspiration comes from many places, some you'd never expect.
